5 Major Advantages of LED lighting over traditional Halogen:

1) Lower Heat: Halogen spotlight generates excessive heat (>270ºC) that could potentially damage objects illuminated by these bulbs. Obviously these temperatures can be dangerous if the lamp comes in contact with skin or flammable material. The heat produced by halogen lamp should be accounted for when considering using them in heat-sensitive applications such as museums or art galleries. Prolight LED average reflector temperature is only 70ºC. It is safe to touch and it will not burn your fingers. Lower heat released to the room also means less air conditioning is needed to cool down a room installed with Prolight LED spotlights. Thus saving extra electricity.

2)No UV Radiation: Quartz filament in halogen emits high UV radiation, thus require additional glass cover in bulbs to provide the required safety protection. Prolight LED does not produce any UV radiation, therefore, no additional safety precaution is needed and the light is safe for skin.

3)Longer Life Expectancy: According to major halogen manufactures , the average rated life of the halogen MR16 is between 2,000 and 5,000 hours MAX (less then 3 months). The average life expectancy of Prolight LED MR16/GU10/Par20, 3 watt bulb is 100,000 hours (12 years and 4 months). Therefore, lower maintenance cost.

4)Wider Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) and Color Selection: Halogen spotlights only have a CCT of between 2.800K and 3.200K depending on the manufacture and type of lamp. Prolight LED offers large selection of colors, such as warm white 2,700K, cool white 5500K and other colors: red, blue, green and amber.

5)No Non-Passive Failures: The filament capsule of a halogen lamp is pressurized and it is very fragile. The quartz capsule should not be touched with bare hands because the oil and salts from the fingers can corrode the quartz and weaken it. Failure can also occur if the lamp is accidentally struck. Thanks to the feature of solid state technology, Prolight LED bulbs do not have any fragile or moving parts, therefore making the lamp robust, shockproof, and safe to touch.

Prolight Product Warranty:
We offer 1 full year of product failure replacement. However, using the bulbs on a dimmer switch will void this warranty, dropping/damage during shipping is excluded from this warranty as well. If bulb failure does occur then you must ship us the failed bulb core for inspection in order to receive a replacement. Shipping/handling charges are the responsibility of the customer and are non refundable. If purchasing 12v MR16 bulbs we advise that you operate bulbs with a magnetic transformer, if you have an electric transformer, check voltage output prior to use of bulb. If bulb fails due to high or low voltage, we hold the right to refuse exchange.
